Mike Piccirilli is currently the Division Chief of Wildlife Sportfish Restoration for the Southeast Region. He has been in the position since April of 2004. Mike is responsible for administering 15 different grant programs in the 10 Southeast states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands with a cumulative total of over $170 million annually for the conservation and protection of wildlife, sportfish, and their habitats. Mike began his career with the Fish and Wildlife Service as an Assistant Refuge Manager at Erie National Wildlife Refuge in 1991. In 1997, he moved to Atlanta to work as a Biologist in the Division of Wildlife Sportfish Restoration and in 2002 was selected as Wildlife Branch Supervisor. Prior to his Fish and Wildlife Service experience, he worked for the Corps of Engineers as a Park Ranger and the Bureau of Reclamation as a Biologist.
