Doug Besler holds a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Iowa State University and a MS in Biology from Tennessee Technological University. Doug has worked in various capacities as a fisheries biologist for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources since 1996 and currently is the mountain region fisheries supervisor. Doug has been involved in with the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture since 2004 serving on various technical groups and is currently the Steering Committee Chair. Doug lives in Asheville North Carolina with his wife Lisa and son Pierce
